Hannah is a Canadian who has spent the past 7 years living surrounded by the rolling Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire. An adjustment to her city girl life she left behind in Vancouver, British Columbia, her time is now spent adventuring on country walks, scouting out independent cafes and sourcing organically grown fresh produce.
As well as writing for TiYK, Hannah also shares her adventures and treasures on her personal blog which contains snippets of said adventures as well as her small – but growing family! If one thing can be noted about Hannah from her online presence, besides her love for good eats, is that she has a French Bulldog, Eggs Benedict, who she is beyond obsessed with. So much so that she ensures that each week of this precious pooches life is documented- by him of course on his blog Eggs Benedict.
A few questions about nice things...
Who do you most admire?
Those who are able to follow their passion and are pursing their dreams with 100% of their heart. I know so many people in my life who have been able to do this, it is inspiring and refreshing when you know they love what they are doing in life.
What are your favourite possessions?
Moving at a young age, to a brand new country I learned to not get attached to possessions. I have a few sentimental items I brought over from Canada that I cannot live without- pictures, and a ratty childhood teddy to name a few. But most of all, I will cherish the memories I have, as those will never change.
Tell us about your perfect day or weekend...
An amazing brunch at a lovely cafe, then going for a long walk somewhere new with Eggs and my boyfriend. Of course the end destination will be another cafe, for coffee and a treat. Repeat all weekend!
What makes you happiest?
Starting a family of my own has been the happiest journey I have taken in life so far. I cannot wait to welcome our little boy into our lives in June 2014.
What would you like to do in the future?
Run my own business, I have yet to decide what said business will be.
