Meet & Make

Social Art and Craft at East Sheen's Artyard Handmade
Meet & Make The most lovely place in our town has to be Artyard Handmade – a fantastic independent art and craft studio on the high street of East Sheen. Although it may look small from the outside, enter through the large door with the curly pink handle and you’ll find a magical world of painting and papier mache, sewing and quilting, crafternoons, high teas and parties as well as endless gorgeous things to look at.

Every time I go inside I feel inspired and instantly creative. The wall hangings, artwork and paintings are forever changing so there’s always something to admire and get excited about. The teachers are especially lovely and the whole place has a nice friendly and buzzing atmosphere.

I have done two courses so far and will definitely be going back for more. The kids love it too and my daughter is fast becoming a whizz at drawing and painting while my son has enjoyed worldly travels in international craft, much to his delight!

This lovely thing to do in London was kindly shared by Amy - a mother and accountant who delights in exploring her creative side, which seemed non-existent until she found Artyard.
