Afternoon tea like it used to be at Hove Museum

My favourite place for afternoon tea is the lovely tearoom at Hove Museum. Light streams in through huge windows and you’re surrounded by beautiful china displayed in old wooden casings. There’s a slight air of nostalgia about it all and I love the fact it’s not the most obvious place to go.

Tea is served in lovely art deco pots and proper china teacups and the cakes, scones and sandwiches are always excellent and freshly made. There are free art exhibitions and upstairs is a treasure trove of beautiful crafts to browse around. And, after you’ve had your fill,  you’re just five minutes from a refreshing walk along the seafront, passing by the delightful beach huts.
